About Us Golf Course Specialists, Inc ("GCS"), founded in 1970, serves as a golf course management and facility development company. GCS has built, managed and renovated golf courses such as Reston National Golf Course, Hidden Creek Country Club, and other golf courses throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Since 1983, GCS has been a National Park Service concessioner. In this public-private partnership, GCS currently operates and maintains East Potomac, Langston and Rock Creek golf courses in Washington, DC. GCS founded the Capital City Golf School in 1989 to provide professional golf instruction services at these three National Park Service golf courses. The company is committed to providing affordable, quality golf facilities that best meet the needs of its diverse customer base. GCS provides services that are accessible to the general public, including specialized programs for youth, seniors, families and minorities. Across its five (5) locations, the Capital City Golf School has served over 20,000 alumni in its 13-year history and presently serves over 4,000 students annually. The School delivers an array of instructional services, including junior camps, small group classes on all aspects of the game, private lessons, supervised practices, player development programs, workshops for families & business professionals, playing partners and classroom seminars. The School’s in-season instructional staff includes over 20 teaching professionals, affiliated with the PGA, LPGA and USGTF.
